The palest Caymanian/American Graphic Designer you ever did see. I love a good font like a good freckle (wait…. is that.. color?!), I love a good grid like a good crossword puzzle and I love true blue creativity more than the color turquoise.

(For those who don’t know me, that’s a whole lot!)

Originally from the Cayman Islands, I spent my life enjoying Scottish summers, American thanksgivings and island winters… fully bitten by the traveling bug at a young age. In 2001, I enrolled at Louisiana State University, and years later, walked away with bachelor’s degrees in both English Literature and Graphic Design. I was then discovered by Lamar Advertising at a college portfolio review and was hired as their Creative Assistant from July to November 2008 as a designer/paper sculptor; truly an amazing experience.

January 2009, I started working at Parsons Brinckerhoff as their Graphic Specialist and working closely with the Communications Director, designed annual reports, invitations, PowerPoints, posters, brochures, logos… name it. It’s probably been designed. It also probably features a bridge, a road and/or safety cone.
Designing for an engineering firm does have it draw backs….

Now it’s Winter 2010 and here I am in Michigan still designing, still smiling, still loving this bright new change. Last year I never thought I'd be back in school and amazingly content selling Winter gear at Mooooooooosejaw Mountaineering. Lets face it, a year ago I barely knew what snow was. I also had no idea that Michigan had such large squirrels.

Seriously.

They are HUGE.
